Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 31 January 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all services provided by That’s It Creative Hub Soc. Coop. A R.L (VAT / P.IVA 03797470782) through booksbuddyus.com and should be read together with our Terms of Service.

1. Nature of Our Services

All services offered on this website are custom-made digital services, created specifically based on the Customer’s instructions, materials, and specifications.

Because of their personalized nature, our services cannot be resold, reused, or reassigned once work has started.

2. Order Cancellation Before Work Begins

A cancellation request may be submitted before work has started.

If the request is received before any work has begun, a full refund may be issued, minus any non-recoverable transaction fees, where applicable.

Once work has started, the order is considered in progress and different rules apply (see below).

3. Cancellation After Work Has Started

Once work has started on a custom service:

  • The service is no longer eligible for a full refund.
  • If cancellation is requested before completion, we reserve the right to:
    • deny the refund, or
    • issue a partial refund, proportional to the work not yet performed, where required by applicable law.

The determination is made at our sole discretion, taking into account the amount of work already completed.

4. Completed Services & No-Refund Rule

No refunds are provided for completed custom services.

A service is considered completed when:

  • the final files are delivered to the Customer, or
  • the agreed deliverables are made available via email or download link.

Approval, publication, or use of the files by the Customer is not required for the service to be considered completed.

5. UK Consumer Cancellation Rights

If you are a UK consumer, you generally have a statutory 14-day cancellation right for distance contracts.

However, because our services are custom and made to your specifications:

  • By placing an order, you expressly request that we begin providing the service immediately.
  • You acknowledge that once the service has been fully performed, your right to cancel may be lost.

If cancellation is requested after work has started but before completion, you may be charged proportionally for the work already performed, as permitted by UK consumer law.

6. Non-Delivery or Material Failure

Refunds may be issued in the event of:

  • failure to deliver the agreed service, or
  • a material failure to provide the service as described.

In such cases, our liability is limited to correction, re-performance, or refund of the affected service, at our discretion.

7. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

We encourage Customers to contact us before initiating any chargeback or payment dispute.

If a chargeback is initiated and results in a refund (whether partial or full):

  • the Customer’s right to use the delivered materials is immediately revoked (see Section 8).

8. License Revocation & Prohibition of Use

If a refund is issued for any reason, including chargebacks:

  • Any license or right to use the delivered materials is immediately revoked.
  • The Customer must cease all use of the work.
  • The Customer must delete all files and may not publish, distribute, sell, or otherwise exploit the materials in any form.

Because the services are custom and non-resalable, continued use after a refund constitutes unauthorized use.

9. Rejected or Unused Work

If the Customer chooses not to use the delivered work but no refund is issued:

  • the service is still considered completed, and
  • the original refund terms apply.

Non-use or subjective dissatisfaction does not entitle the Customer to a refund once delivery has occurred.

10. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

All cancellation or refund requests must be submitted in writing to:

📧 info@booksbuddyus.com

Requests must include:

  • order number
  • reason for the request

11. Fair Use & Legal Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in your country of residence.
